If you’re ready to start planning a spring wedding, and you’re looking for ways to incorporate your own talents or personalization, we have a beautiful rustic spring wedding to share with you! Julia and Heath’s wedding revolved around personal touches and sentimentality. Start with the venue that the bride fell in love with as a child – she actually attended summer camps at this wooded lodge and knew she wanted to get married there one day! Add in a dose of do-it-yourself customization, taking advantage of the bride’s talent for calligraphy and love of succulents. The invitations and seating charts are simply perfect surrounded by succulents, berries, peaches, pears and artichokes arranged in mini terra cotta pots and driftwood planters. What’s more? Julia actually owns a Party Singer group, so her own band set the soundtrack for the reception!
Be sure to note the beautiful antique dresser used to display photos of generations of the couple’s family in antique picture frames. What a charming way to draw in antique elements, showcase family heirlooms, and pay homage to past ancestors. Together with the venue serving as a rustic, intimate setting with plenty of natural ambience, the whole affair is total rustic elegance. Julia’s BHLDN lace vintage-inspired gown, paired with her favorite cowboy boots, was a perfect compliment to their theme. Check out all the gorgeous photos from Carrie King Photographer!
From Carrie King Photographer…Julia and Heath’s day was absolutely perfect. Julia attended summer camp at La Foret as a child and just knew she had to be married there.
She is an incredibly talented girl who did her own calligraphy on the invitations, place cards, and seating chart tags. She is also the owner/ singer of Party Singers, so it was amazing watching her group Absolute Romance perform. They are head over heels for succulents, so they were everywhere! The florist included mini terra-cotta pots with fresh blackberries, pears, peaches, and artichokes in the centerpieces. The tables were filled with lace trimmed napkins, and mismatched glasses and silverware. She had her ring made by a dear friend, Corinne Simon. And That BHLDN gown!!!
