Hello gorgeous! It’s only 2 more days till new year’s eve. Do you have any special plans with your sweetie? I just love those sparkly + fun idea for a New Year’s Eve. We are going to take a break tomorrow, me and my little family are travelling to Scotland , we’re going to celebrate New Year’s Eve with my husband’s family and friends there. Now Weddings thanks so much to Tatiana Afanasyeva photography for sending us this fabulous cozy winter wedding styled shoot in shades of neutral, brown , emerald and gold.
If you love the look of the great outdoors at wintertime, but aren’t committed to an outdoor wedding, we’ve got a few tricks up our sleeves for you, Tatiana Afanasyeva photography and her team created the atmosphere of a rustic winter wedding indoors by utilizing some smart decorative elements. Start with tons of greenery – spruce and eucalyptus branches work perfectly for replicating the look (and wonderful scent!) of a winter mountainscape. Big wreaths hanging on doors and over entryways are a great idea too. Sprinkle pinecones throughout – vases or rustic jars full on tables, tucked in bouquets and floral arrangements, even scattered across tables.
In this photo shoot, they even added sprigs of cotton and winter blossoms of roses and carnations to create a dynamic look. The use of piled chopped firewood in the background makes it seem like we’re on the back porch of a cozy cabin, just waiting to get the campfire roaring! You can also use slivers of natural branches and logs as placemats, coasters, or even burned with your guests’ names on them as place cards. Finally, top it off with cinnamon sticks, vanilla and pine candles everywhere to create a warm, scented room for your guests to feel like they’re truly in the great outdoors at wintertime – but without the need for a heavy coat!
A rustic tan and green emerald winter wedding colour palette created using a mix of different textures like wood, foliage and silver toned metallics.
From Tatiana Afanasyeva photography…”Winter atmosphere can be created in a photo studio, too. You can use lots of spruce and eucaliptus branches, pine cones, cotton boxes and winter flowers like roses and carnations. Cinnamon sticks and burning candles will make the atmosphere warm and unforgettable.”
