This year, we’ve been introduced to the luxury wedding venue called the Hayne House in Kent, UK. You might remember the beautiful styled shoot “How to use Pantone Greenery and Pale Dogwood to create your dream wedding from Hayne House” we shared last month. And they continue to inspire us with their beautiful wedding designs and ideas. Today, we’re looking at their take on styling a wedding using Pantone’s 2017 popular colour of lapis blue. This deep shade of blue can be used to create a real jaw-dropper of a wedding palette, so let’s take a look at how the expert design team at the Hayne house chose to showcase it.
I love how they’re using classic china blue and white pottery as design focal points – what a clever idea! And how the folks from Dream of Flowers mixed in a few other colours to create dynamic floral arrangements– like the brighter turquoise, a few tiny hints of purple and darker indigo, and the deep rusty red glass vases. The yellowy-green greenery and the gold from the stationary round the whole look out in a really nice way. Overall, they’ve created a high end look that still showcases personality and character – not an easy feat to achieve!

From Hayne house
Are you getting enough greens?
On the 29th January 2017, for their Open Day, the Hayne House styling team put together two tablescapes inspired by Pantone’s colours of the year: Kale and Lapis Blue.
On the lapis Blue table, the team wanted to show couples that their table centrepieces can be very personal, and took their inspiration from items normally on display in the Hunting Lodge. They used China Blue pieces to decorate the table, but with the caveat that couples who embrace this idea, should not forget to take out insurance!
For their second tablescape, the team chose one of their five a day, kale as their inspiration. They celebrated the beauty of greenery in the knowledge that using more foliage can be a cost effective way to help a couples’ flower budget go a little further. Surrounded by 35 acres of landscaped gardens, the team have never made a secret of the fact that they love gardens and all things green. They believe dramatic lashings of greenery and luscious leaves, with splashes of flowers, can add richness, structure, texture, can be very fresh, natural looking and can be underrated.
We hope that you will fall in love with these two styling ideas.
