Happy Wednesday lovely ladies! Our next up, a beautiful orange crush styled shoot that added pops of colour and a delightful brightness. This Styled Shoot that I’m about to share with you was sent over to us by the lovely Sam Lloyd of The Wedding Owl – thank you so much Sam 🙂 and captured by Alan Langley.
Wedding stylist Kylie Christie was asked to design an inspirational photo shoot that could somehow transcend the traditional autumn or winter wedding theme using inspiration from sunny California. She accomplished this goal by using the native Navel orange of California as a point of reference to the look. She says, “Oranges radiate warmth, excitement, richness, brightness, vibrancy and happiness. And yet these little citrus delights are in peak season over the winter months!” What a brilliant concept – literally adding touches of brilliant orange and gold to the colour palette! By including blood orange taffeta chair covers and a combination of foliage, like eucalyptus, ivy, roses and blue thistle, Kylie Christie shows us that orange really is the new black!
This is super awesome exciting news for all of us 🙂 colour lovers! Pantone has just released their colours for 2017 and “Pantone 17-1462 flame” is in there — A red-based orange, Flame, is gregarious and fun loving. Flamboyant and vivacious, this wonderfully theatrical shade adds fiery heat to the spring 2017 palette. { We will be shared shortly top 10 Pantone Spring 2017 on Fab Mood }
Kylie Christie, a Wedding Stylist and Co-ordinator said, “Recently I was thrilled to be asked to create a styled shoot, inspired by California – that would bring some sunshine to an autumn/ winter’s wedding décor”.
She continued “I thought about all the Gold Coast is famous for. As my central theme, I chose the native Navel oranges, which radiate warmth, excitement, richness, brightness, vibrancy and happiness. And yet these little citrus delights are in peak season over the winter months. So I settled on a colour palette of hot glowing orange complemented by rich golds, sophisticated soft blues, gorgeous peach, soft pink blossoms and contemporary greenery. The floral table centrepiece was a combination of foliage which included Eucalyptus, Ivy, Small Leaf Pitto and Dracena Sanderiana plus heavenly flowers that included Dahlia, Colombian Rose, Colombian Spray Carnations, Asclepias and Eryngium – a wonderful blue thistle. Chair covers of Blood orange taffeta, Seville orange escort card holders, chocolate orange wedding favours and marmalade coloured napkins, pulled the whole décor creation together”.
So this winter why not transport your wedding guests to the sunny orange groves of Florida, by raising a glass of Bucks Fizz and opting for an affordable, zesty, utterly divine and a totally refreshing orange inspired theme; its guaranteed to brighten up the darkest of days.
