Happy Monday everyone! We hope you all had a lovely weekend. We wanted to start the week with this timeless winter wedding. Snow-capped mountains in the distance offer a perfect backdrop for a wintry wedding! Here we see some classic winter theme elements achieved with polished perfection. With the bride in a fur coat for part of the ceremony and pine cones and fallen leaves carpeting the ground, we love the photos from JoPhoto of Rachel and Mark’s wedding at Black Bear Cove Resort.
The bridal party is colour coordinated in wintry grays and icy blues, though with each bridesmaid in a different gown, they achieve the contemporary trend of mismatched bridal parties. They even have very chic warm shawls in various textiles and prints, making for a polished party all around. The groomsmen are ever-so-dapper in matched cardigans and plaid shirts, but with slacks in varying shades of gray.
But the real stunner of the party is the bride in a timeless long sleeved lace wedding dress, fit for royalty. In fact, Rachel is looking very much like Princess Kate with her hair swept back into a veil topped with a beaded headband.
These gorgeous photos from Black Bear Cove remind us that we will never get bored with winter wedding themes!

Is anyone currently planning a winter wedding – either for this winter or next? Would love to hear about it! And big thanks to Rachel + Mark and JoPhoto for sharing the beautiful winter wedding today!

...Wintery wedding at Black Bear Cove Resort is full of lovely woodland details. Rachel and Mark’s wedding on January 3 was surrounded by the Cherokee National Forest and included mismatches bridesmaids dresses with winter wraps, a wedding gown with a gorgeous lace back, and the most beautiful mountain view!Rachel and Mark’s wedding reception included something we had never seen before — contra dancing. Contra dancing is similar to square dancing in that it is a social dance for couples and includes a “caller” who leads the dancers. But in contract dancing, the couples dance in two facing lines and couples go up and down the lines. All of their wedding guests absolutely loved it!...
