The idea of a destination wedding in Mexico generally conjures up images of bright colours, cacti décor, and an assortment of beachside resort style cocktails. In the case of Karla and Mark’s wedding, however, the overall feel was one of delicate elegance for sure. Set in the stunning Villa Milagros, the atmosphere was poetically simple with ivory sands and tropical ferns creating a frame for our bride and groom to say their ‘I dos’. Karla was a vision in a plunging neckline all-over lace Olvi wedding dress with a jaw-dropping cut out back detail. (We couldn’t help but notice that the cut out details in her gown were echoed in the lace cut-out style invitation suite and table décor!)
Completing her look was a beaded headpiece, which she traded out for an ivory and coral pink floral headpiece for the reception. Coral pink was the only pop of subtle colour throughout the wedding party’s looks – matching ties and handkerchiefs for the men and tropical motif gowns for the ladies. As the sun set on the reception, the peachy tones in the floral arrangements and twinkle lights mimicked the colours of the sunset perfectly, throwing a whole new light on this gorgeous event – quite literally! Thanks so much to Taryn Baxter Photography for these super lovely images.
