I love that the first flowers to bloom at the end of winter are mostly yellow. Everywhere I look, I see cheery yellow pops of forsythia bushes, mimosa trees, freesia and marigold flowers making me smile and tempting me to leave my jacket home. So I found a beautifully-done yellow themed wedding to inspire you to consider using this cheery colour as the theme for your own springtime wedding!
Set against the beautiful green backdrop of the Pocono Mountains at Mountain Springs Lake Resort in Pennsylvania, Allie and Dave’s yellow-themed wedding is a bright pop of sunny joy. They very smartly used muted shades of pastel yellow for the bridesmaids’ gowns, which are adorable tea-length strapless dresses topped with a string of pearls. The guys match with a subtle hint of yellow in their tie. But the real pop comes from the floral arrangements, provided by David Lautt. The bouquets are bursting with bright yellow roses with white flowers playing second fiddle. For their décor, they used the same yellow roses and big sunflowers in vases that held lemons too! They included a signature cocktail – the lemon drop martini – to keep the yellow theme going right through cocktail hour. Not to mention it was perfectly refreshing on a warm day. And the stunning wedding cake is a real focal point with its cascading yellow roses on buttercream icing. Check out the photos from JFAB Photography – I hope you enjoy!
