A Bride In Vintage 70s Wedding Gown for a mountain wedding in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Oh Friday, I couldn’t be feeling better! There’s a beautifully relaxed atmosphere to this afternoon, and taking that in to account, I couldn’t think of a more lovely feature to share than a beautiful wedding in Tennessee from JoPhoto. Self-proclaimed hippies Myles and Clare give us great ideas on how to bring a retro twist to a southern wedding. Finding clever ways to merge the groom’s Tennessee hometown style with the bride’s English background, Myles and Clare celebrated their nuptials in the lush forests of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, utilizing the rustic log cabins with elegant stone chimneys as their setting.

An imported vintage 70s wedding gown from United Kingdom, complete with a daisy chain hemmed veil compliments our bride’s silky straight red hair. Her colours were kept simple in ivory to let the natural hues of their environment take center stage. The groom and his groomsmen sported their own long locks and heavy beards, fitting in perfectly with their 70s style suits. Saying “I do” beneath a simple wooden arch draped with ribbons, maypole style. As for the other decorative elements, the groom took advantage of his graphic design background to create custom 70s style posters and decorative elements throughout the affair, while the bride had their cakes made from the bounties of the forest – tons of berries, topped with homemade birch wood love birds!

To compliment Clare’s look, her four maids wore lace ivory dresses.  I loved these sweet bridesmaid dresses and their fluffy white wedding bouquets.
